DeFiChain is a blockchain platform dedicated to DeFi applications. It leverages the capabilities of a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism while maintaining proven aspects of the Bitcoin Core blockchain in order to offer DeFi services such as decentralized lending, token wrapping, peer-to-peer trading and more. DFI is the native token of the blockchain used to pay transaction fees, vote on and raise proposals influencing the future direction of the project, run staking nodes to help secure the network and collateralize loans on the platform.
