IOST is a decentralized blockchain protocol based on the proof-of-believability (PoB) consensus mechanism, which enables high transaction throughput and ensures the compliance of network operators. The project is focused on building an enterprise-level blockchain system that provides enhanced security and scalability for online services. The IOST token is the native currency of the protocol which is used to pay transaction fees and commissions on the network.
