About Zcash (ZEC)
Zcash is a privacy-focused Bitcoin fork. Zcash is an open-source blockchain designed to make transactions completely anonymous. Originally forked from Bitcoin, Zcash implements the Zerocash protocol to enable a “shielded” ledger option, concealing the sender, recipient and amount for each transaction. Transparent transactions are also optional through Zcash though, to accomodate wallets or exchanges that don't support confidential activity.
