Kraken Funded is a skill-based challenge. Pay a one-time challenge fee, pass the challenge, and unlock a funded account with up to $10,000. Keep 80% of the gains, and withdraw once you pass the minimum amount of $20 in gains.
One fee per challenge: $20 for the $1K plan, $50 for $5K, or $90 for $10K. The fee is non-refundable.
Beyond that there are no commissions during the challenge or in the funded account, and no withdrawal fees. The only other cost is the spread, the small difference between the buy and sell price, which is built into each trade in both the challenge and the funded account.
Grow the starting balance by 12%. On the $1K plan, that means reaching $1,120. There’s no time limit and no minimum number of positions. The challenge ends the moment you hit the target.
The only money you risk is the challenge fee. Your main Kraken balance stays untouched. This isn’t borrowing. There’s no loan, no interest, and your personal assets are never at risk. Your downside is capped at the fee, and there’s no cap on how much you can withdraw over time. The fee is non-refundable.
The challenge ends if the balance drops more than 3% from the starting balance. You lose nothing beyond the challenge fee since the challenge balance was never your own money. You can start a new challenge at any tier whenever you’re ready.
Withdraw gains from the funded account any time. Sell any open positions back to USD first and make withdrawals in USD. 80% of the gains transfers to your main Kraken account; Kraken keeps 20%. Most withdrawals arrive within 24 hours. Gains you’ve already withdrawn are yours to keep, even if the funded account later closes.
Kraken Funded supports 50+ major cryptocurrencies and select stocks (availability varies by region), including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other actively traded assets. The list is more curated than what’s available across your Kraken account. You’ll see exactly which assets are available inside the Kraken Funded tab.
It’s been built so buying and selling feels exactly like trading anywhere else on Kraken. The asset list may vary slightly by region due to local availability rules.
Completely. Nothing you do inside Kraken Funded affects your main balance. The challenge balance sits inside the Funded tab. The only things that touch your main account are the challenge fee and gain withdrawals. Kraken Funded is operated by Payward Oceanic Ltd. (BVI).
