Bitcoin Pizza Day 2026 Social Contest
BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROMOTION, YOU AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE KRAKEN.COM TERMS OF SERVICE, WHICH EACH FORM A CONTRACT. READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING. NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR FUNDING NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE OR WIN. A PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR FUNDING WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Sponsor
This promotion (“Promotion”) is sponsored by Tulip HoldCo Ltd., located at 2nd Floor, Water's Edge Building, Wickhams Cay II, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands (“Sponsor” or “Kraken”).
For Australian participants: Kraken's services in Australia are provided by Bit Trade Pty Limited (ACN 163 237 634) ("BTPL"), trading as Kraken. Australian participants are contracting with BTPL with respect to this Promotion.
2. Eligible Areas
The Promotion is open to eligible customers residing in the European Economic Area ("EEA"), the United States (excluding Maine and New York), Canada (excluding Quebec), Australia, Argentina, and other jurisdictions where Kraken services are lawfully available (“Eligible Areas”).
Residents of the United Kingdom are not eligible to participate.
Void where prohibited.
3. Promotion Period
The Promotion begins on May 22, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time and ends on May 24, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (“Promotion Period”).
4. How to Participate
During the Promotion Period, eligible participants may enter the Promotion by completing the following method:
Pizza Art Submission
Create or use AI to generate an absurd, over-the-top “billion dollar pizza” image
Publish the submission on X tagging @krakenfx
For all entries:
Entries must remain publicly visible for the duration of the Promotion Period and winner verification period;
Entries must comply with X’s Terms of Service and all applicable laws;
Limit one (1) entry per X account/person;
Automated, bulk, scripted, or bot-generated submissions are prohibited.
No purchase, trade, or Kraken account is required to enter.
5. Submission Requirements
By submitting an entry, you represent and warrant that:
The submission is your original creation or that you possess all necessary rights and permissions to submit it;
The submission does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
The submission does not contain unlawful, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate material;
The submission complies with applicable laws and platform rules.
Kraken reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove, reject, or disqualify any submission that violates these Official Rules.
6. Winner Selection
This is a skill-based contest. Winners will not be selected randomly.
All eligible entries will be reviewed by a judging panel selected by Kraken. Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
Humor and entertainment value (30%);
Creativity and originality (30%);
Presentation quality (20%); and
Relevance to the “absurdly expensive pizza” theme (20%).
Kraken’s decisions regarding judging and winner selection are final and binding.
7. Prize
Ten (10) winners will each receive a prize valued at USD $1,000 paid in Bitcoin (“BTC”) credited to their eligible Krak account.
Total prize pool: USD $10,000, payable in BTC.
The amount of BTC awarded to each winner will be determined by Kraken based on the prevailing BTC/USD exchange rate at the time Kraken processes the prize payout. Kraken shall determine the applicable exchange rate and timing of conversion in its sole discretion.
Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each prize is approximately USD $1,000 / AUD $1,400 as of the date these Official Rules are published. Actual value may fluctuate based on market conditions and the BTC/USD exchange rate at the time of payout.
Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and may not be redeemed for cash. Kraken reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.
8. Krak Account Requirement
A verified Krak account is required solely for prize fulfillment.
Potential winners who do not maintain a verified Krak account in good standing at the time of prize fulfillment may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected.
9. Eligibility to Participate
You are eligible to participate if, at the time of entry and throughout the Promotion:
You reside in an Eligible Area;
You are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence, whichever is greater;
You comply with the Kraken.com Terms of Service and these Official Rules;
You are not otherwise prohibited from participating under applicable law.
9A. Canadian Skill-Testing Question
Any Canadian resident selected as a potential winner must correctly answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question before being declared an eligible winner and receiving any prize. The skill-testing question will be administered at the time of winner notification. Failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question will result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner.
10. Disqualification
Kraken reserves the right to disqualify any participant who, in Kraken’s sole discretion:
Violates these Official Rules or the Kraken.com Terms of Service;
Submits false, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading information;
Uses multiple accounts, bots, automation, or manipulation techniques;
Engages in abusive, unlawful, or harmful conduct;
Attempts to undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion.
11. Notification of Winners
Potential winners may be contacted via X or through the contact information associated with their Krak and/or Kraken account.
Selected winners may be required to provide additional documentation, including identity verification and proof of eligibility.
If a selected winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within the time specified by Kraken, or fails eligibility verification, Kraken may select an alternate winner.
Eligible winners may also be required to submit tax forms, declarations, or other compliance documentation prior to receiving any prize.
Prize payouts will occur within thirty (30) business days following Kraken’s confirmation of winner eligibility, completion of identity verification requirements, and receipt and review of all requested tax or compliance documentation.
Kraken reserves the right to delay prize distribution where necessary for legal, regulatory, compliance, fraud prevention, or operational purposes.
12. Consents and Approvals
By entering the Promotion, you grant Kraken and its affiliates a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, publish, adapt, distribute, and promote your submitted content in connection with the Promotion and Kraken marketing activities.
You further consent to Kraken’s use of your name, social media handle, likeness, city, and country for promotional and marketing purposes without further compensation unless prohibited by law.
Personal information collected in connection with the Promotion will be processed in accordance with Kraken’s Privacy Notice located at: https://kraken.com/legal/privacy.
13. Platform Disclaimer
This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with X (formerly Twitter). By participating, you release X from any liability related to this Promotion.
14. Disclaimers
Kraken is not responsible for technical failures, internet interruptions, unavailable platforms, corrupted submissions, unauthorized intervention, or any other issue that may interfere with participation or administration of the Promotion.
Without limiting any other provision of these Rules, Kraken and Kraken Related Parties are not responsible for any damage or loss caused by acts of God, terrorism, war, labor disputes, natural disasters, epidemics, governmental actions, or other causes beyond their reasonable control.
15. Limitation of Liability, Disputes, and Governing Law
By participating in this Promotion, you agree to and hereby release and hold harmless Tulip HoldCo Ltd. and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, "Kraken") from any damage, injury, death, loss, claim, action, demand, or other liability ("Claims") that may arise from your acceptance, possession, and/or use of any Prize or your participation in this Promotion, regardless of whether such Claims exist at the time of entry or arise at any time thereafter. For Australian residents, the relevant Kraken contracting entity is Bit Trade Pty Ltd (ACN 163 237 634), as applicable.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (1) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS, AND AWARDS WILL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL THIRD-PARTY, OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, IF ANY, NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-FIVE US DOLLARS (USD $25.00). ATTORNEYS' FEES ARE NOT RECOVERABLE; (2) YOU WAIVE ALL RIGHTS TO SEEK PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS; AND (3) YOUR REMEDIES ARE LIMITED TO A CLAIM FOR MONEY DAMAGES ONLY.

Nothing in these Official Rules excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

16. Taxes
Participants are solely responsible for any taxes, reporting obligations, or duties arising from receipt of any prize.
United States residents may be required to provide additional tax documentation, including IRS Form W-9 or equivalent documentation, as a condition of receiving a prize. Kraken may issue IRS Form 1099-MISC or other applicable tax reporting forms as required by law. Failure to provide requested tax documentation may result in disqualification or forfeiture of the prize.
Australian residents should be aware that receipt of cryptocurrency prizes may constitute a taxable event under Australian tax law. The value of crypto assets received may be assessed at market value at the time of receipt in accordance with Australian Taxation Office (“ATO”) guidance. Participants are solely responsible for seeking independent tax advice regarding any tax consequences arising from participation in the Promotion or receipt of any prize.
17. General Rules
Kraken reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Promotion at any time if fraud, technical failures, legal issues, or other factors impair the integrity or proper functioning of the Promotion.
Kraken’s decisions are final in all matters relating to the Promotion.
If any provision of these Rules is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Official Rules, together with the Kraken.com Terms of Service, constitute the entire agreement governing this Promotion.
