About Hemi
Hemi is a modular Layer-2 blockchain network designed for superior scaling, security, and interoperability between Bitcoin and Ethereum. Rather than treating Bitcoin and Ethereum as separate ecosystems, Hemi integrates them as components of a single supernetwork. At its core is the Hemi Virtual Machine (hVM), which embeds a full Bitcoin node within an Ethereum-compatible virtual machine, giving smart contracts direct access to Bitcoin's state. The HEMI token is the network's native utility token, used for protocol governance and staking.
