About Proton
Proton is a blockchain-based smart contract platform designed for the development of decentralized applications (dApps). Proton was built around a distributed identity protocol and uses a delegated-proof-of-stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism to provide an efficient, scalable payment network. XPR is native token of the platform and is used to pay for network resources, earn rewards via staking for securing the network and vote on decisions affecting the future of the protocol.
