Kraken Referral Program FAQ

1. What is the Kraken Referral Program?

   The Kraken Referral Program allows you and a friend to earn a $10 USD referral bonus. Once your friend signs up for Kraken using your invite link and buys or sells $100 USD in crypto, you’ll both receive the bonus. Bonus amounts may vary from time to time, and we may provide the bonus in the form of digital assets or legal tender. 

   
   Note: Referrals are currently available on the Kraken app. Buys or sells made on Kraken Pro do not count towards eligibility for receiving a referral bonus. 

2. How do I get a referral bonus?

   To receive your referral bonus:

   • Go to App settings in the Kraken mobile app to find your invite link.
   • Copy and share your invite link with your friends.
   • Your friend must use your invite link to create a new account on the Kraken mobile app and buy or sell crypto worth at least $100 USD within 30 days of signing up. As a reminder, buys and sells on Kraken Pro do not count toward the $100 USD trading amount.

   More details:

   • The Kraken Referral Program is available in the United States (excluding Washington and New York), Canada, Australia, and in some EU countries.
   • The friend you refer must reside in the same country as you.
   • To qualify for the referral bonus, the friend you refer must not have previously created a Kraken account before the account created with your invite link.
   • There is no limit to the number of friends you can refer, but there is a limit on the total amount of referral bonuses you can receive ($100 USD worth of bitcoin).
   • Crypto that is deposited into your account cannot be used towards the $100 buy or sell requirement.

3. When will I receive my bonus?

   After your friend signs up and completes the required steps, please allow at least one week for referral bonus payments to be deposited into your Kraken account.

4. Additional terms

   • You cannot use paid advertising such as paid search marketing or promoted posts on social media to promote your invite link. If you do, your invite link will be deactivated and you will not receive any bonuses for referrals made using that link. You can, however, share your invite link through text messaging, email and messaging apps.
      
   • Unfortunately Kraken can’t guarantee referral bonus payouts on every account you refer, but we make a good faith effort to do so until you have reached your limit of $100 USD in referral bonuses. By participating in the Kraken referral program you acknowledge that receiving referral bonus payouts are not guaranteed by Kraken.
      
   • Kraken can end or limit this program at any time and for any reason without notice.
